Nepal Out Bound Travel

Nepal outbound travel refers to Nepalese citizens traveling to other countries for various purposes such as tourism, business, education, medical treatment, or visiting friends and relatives (VFR). The trend of outbound travel from Nepal has been increasing in recent years due to various factors, including increased awareness about travel opportunities, ease of obtaining visas, and improved air connectivity.

According to the Nepal Tourism Board, the number of Nepalese outbound travelers has been growing steadily in recent years. In 2019, a total of 602,282 Nepalese citizens traveled abroad, an increase of 14.4% compared to the previous year.

The most popular destinations for Nepalese travelers are India, followed by the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Thailand, and Qatar. The majority of Nepalese outbound travelers are young adults aged between 20-40 years, and they usually travel for leisure purposes.

Nepalese outbound travel is expected to continue to grow in the coming years, driven by a growing middle class with increasing disposable income, improving air connectivity, and a greater desire for international experiences.
